This app is designed as a way for students (especially in the Midwestern US) to explore their own nature - right in their own backyard. Rather than try to identify animals and plants in painstaking detail, it guides students through common organisms and signs of ecology that can help them understand the natural world. As they reach the end of each exploration, there are questions and activities for the students to engage in. It is my hope that through the use of this app, students will become more aware of nature, and they will appreciate the nature that exists around them.
